The Tier 2: Certified Clinical Facilitator program is the most comprehensive ibogaine clinical training available online — designed for RNs, MDs, NPs, and dedicated facilitators who will manage ibogaine sessions from screening through post-session care.
Covers EKG/QTc thresholds, liver function panels, psychiatric screening, cardiac safety, bradycardia management, arrhythmia recognition, crash cart readiness, and adverse event case studies.
Learn flood dose calculation (10–25 mg/kg), test dose protocols, TA vs. HCl differences, re-dosing timing, and how to manage prolonged or difficult experiences safely.
Includes all 5 Tier 1 modules plus 5 advanced clinical modules. 100% online and self-paced. A 50-question final exam with 70% passing threshold. Certificate valid for 2 years.
Ibogaine clinics in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Portugal require trained, certified staff. Our Tier 2 certificate is the credential that opens doors to clinical employment and clinic licensing.
A certified ibogaine clinical facilitator is responsible for the full clinical management of an ibogaine session — from pre-session medical screening through the acute experience and into post-session care. This includes reviewing EKG results for QTc interval abnormalities, conducting liver function and psychiatric screening, calculating and administering the appropriate dose, monitoring cardiac function continuously during the session, managing any adverse events, and coordinating post-session care and integration handoff.
This is a high-responsibility role that requires both clinical knowledge and practical competence. The Tier 2 curriculum was developed to give healthcare professionals and dedicated facilitators the specific knowledge they need to perform this role safely and effectively — knowledge that is not covered in standard medical or nursing training because ibogaine is not yet taught in US clinical programs.
Module 6: Medical Screening Protocols covers the complete pre-screening workflow — EKG/QTc interval thresholds (the primary cardiac risk factor), liver function panels, psychiatric screening tools (PHQ-9, AUDIT, DAST), drug interaction checklist, and the CIWA scale for assessing withdrawal severity. You'll learn exactly what disqualifies a candidate and why, and how to document your screening decisions.
Module 7: Cardiac Safety & Emergency Response is the most critical module in the program. Ibogaine's primary risk is cardiac — specifically QT prolongation and the potential for fatal arrhythmia. This module covers bradycardia management, arrhythmia recognition, continuous cardiac monitoring protocols, crash cart readiness, and real-world adverse event case studies. Module 8: Dosing & Administration covers flood dose calculation (10–25 mg/kg based on body weight and clinical assessment), test dose protocols, the pharmacological differences between TA and HCl preparations, re-dosing timing, and how to manage a prolonged or difficult experience.
Module 9: Legal, Regulatory & Ethical Framework covers the current Schedule I status of ibogaine in the US, legal operation in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Portugal, informed consent documentation requirements, liability protection strategies, and the ethical obligations of a clinical facilitator. Module 10: Clinic Operations & Staff Protocols covers the full operational workflow — intake procedures, session room setup, staff roles and responsibilities, documentation standards, post-session care protocols, and real-world case studies from operating clinics.
Tier 2 is designed for registered nurses (RNs), medical doctors (MDs), nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and dedicated clinical facilitators with relevant healthcare experience. If you are a coach or therapist without a clinical background, Tier 1 is the appropriate starting point.
Yes. Tier 2 includes all five Tier 1 modules plus five additional advanced clinical modules. If you have already completed Tier 1, you will receive credit for those modules and only need to complete the five new advanced modules.
Tier 2 certified facilitators are qualified for clinical staff positions at ibogaine treatment centers in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Portugal. Salaries range from $60,000 to $120,000+ annually depending on role, location, and experience. Many facilitators also work as independent contractors for multiple clinics.
Our certification demonstrates educational competency and is recognized by ibogaine clinics as a credential. However, individual clinics may have additional requirements such as supervised clinical hours or in-person training. We recommend contacting your target clinic to understand their specific hiring criteria.
